Initial Consult
The first step in all of our training programs, the initial consult allows us to take a detailed history of your dog and develop a customized dog training plan to reach your goals.
How do I prepare for the initial consult?
When you book your dog training consult, you will be provided with access to the Dial Method, a 40 minute video series. We ask that you and any household members watch the videos prior to our in-person session.
Do you train my dog during the initial consult?
If time allows, we may include hands-on training in the consult. But the primary focus is to learn about your dog’s past history and current environment, as well as your goals and needs, so we can develop a solid training plan moving forward.
Am I required to book additional sessions?
While most clients do need follow-up sessions to reach their dog training goals, there is no obligation.
What vaccines does my dog need?
To participate in any type of training, we require that adult dogs have had their core puppy vaccines (Distemper, Adenovirus, Parvovirus, and Rabies), and that they are up to date on yearly boosters, or titer tests.
Puppies should have had their first vaccine, prior to the start of training, and remain up to date on their series of puppy vaccines throughout training.
Dogs participating in Field Trips must be current on monthly preventative flea, tick, and heartworm treatments.
